MGHiemstra.com is the personal website for Michael G. Hiemstra. I live and work in the Region of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.
Yes it is true. I did play a part in getting our local maker space Kwartzlab off the ground. It began with a blog post (since lost) on this site that got a mention on the MAKE: Blog. The attention generated from Make's blog led to a meeting of around 30 interested people at a coffee shop. That meeting led to other meetings. There were a lot of people that did a lot more work than I in the early days. I was a member for awhile but didn't have enough maker in me (or spare cash) at the time to keep that up. I'm still a huge supporter though.
